AI Course for Finance Overview

The AI For Finance Course is an online course that trains finance professionals on using AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Python, Power BI, Excel AI, DataRobot, etc., for automating financial modeling, FP&A reports, risk analytics, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance. There is no need for coding knowledge or any prior experience with programming languages.

The Gyansetu AI For Finance Course is a course that is meant for finance professionals and analysts, CAs, MBAs, and those who wish to make a career change but have nothing much to do with the field of computer science or data science. The prerequisite for this course is not any previous education in data science or programming language knowledge but the problem in finance.

This is how the current market environment can be characterized. According to the DataRails 2026 Finance Trends Report, AI and automation are taking over from Excel and financial modeling to become the most important area of professional skills development in finance in 2026. As reported in the Deloitte-NASSCOM 2024 report, India’s market for AI jobs grew by more than 40%, and the number of jobs will reach 1.25 million positions in 2027. Moreover, 38% of the total AI hiring in India is in non-engineering functions such as finance, analytics, and strategy.

It is important because being a software engineer is not required in order to profit from applying AI in finance. It is needed to know the domain (you do) and be able to use AI tools in solving the actual problems that you face.

Gyansetu has helped more than 32,500 professionals in 50+ countries grow their careers since its inception in 2013. Placement assistance is provided to over 20,000 graduates, placing them in organizations like Accenture, Barclays, Cognizant, EY, KPMG, and many others. This certification is accredited by NASSCOM – a globally recognized and valued certification by Indian MNCs and global banks and the Big Four consulting firms hiring for AI expertise in finance.

Your end-of-course project will be your own professional portfolio. This includes a 3-statement model, FP&A dashboard, risk analysis, and a board report – all made with AI. Not just some exam certificate. Your actual body of work.

Why Choose Gyansetu’s AI for Finance Course?

Gyansetu’s AI for Finance Course targets the analyst, CA, FP&A manager, and finance graduate requiring practical skills. The pricing is only a fraction of what the above programs ask for. But the icing on the cake here is a feature that none of the others provide; placement assistance even after the course is over.

5 things that separate this course from the alternatives:

  1. Finance-specific curriculum — not a generic AI course repackaged. Each module is centered on a financial challenge. These modules construct a financial modeling framework of three statements, automate a dashboard for FP&A,  performs credit risk modeling. You aren’t simply getting an introduction to AI. You’re using it for your work. This is a different way of doing things, and it makes a difference in the result.
  2. Batch sizes of 5–10 students Columbia takes cohorts of more than a hundred. The limit at Gyansetu is between 5-10 students per cohort. This guarantees personal contact with the trainer as opposed to forums where your question goes unanswered for three days. This is what makes Gyansetu maintain its record. Smaller cohorts guarantee personalized training.
  3. NASSCOM-registered certification The certificate from Gyansetu gets listed under NASSCOM. It is verified through a live website. The recruiters from HDFC, ICICI, Deloitte, KPMG, and EY are aware of this certificate. The certificate is given after you complete the course.
  4. Placement support built for finance careers specifically. Your CV will be created based on the 5 projects you have worked on in this course, and not from some generic format. For finance professionals, it means your AI-developed FP&A dashboard and the 3 statements model are included in your resume before heading to the interview room. Gyansetu has successfully placed 20,000+ students in companies like Accenture, Barclays, Cognizant, EY, and KPMG – all of which are actively hiring AI-enabled finance roles.
  5. Lifetime access — because AI in finance keeps changing. A Bloomberg module that was accurate 18 months ago will have changed because of a software upgrade. Gyansetu provides you with lifetime access to all lectures, data sets, and labs provided in the course. It’s not a limited-term course; it’s an ongoing library of resources at your fingertips. If SEBI changes its algorithmic trading rules, or Microsoft Copilot for Excel rolls out a new feature – your access is still live.

Something to consider: what is the downside of being the only finance expert in the room without the ability to utilize these technologies?

AI Certification Course for Finance

At the end of the AI for Finance Course, you’ll walk away with a certification that actually means something to employers — not just a line on your resume. It’s registered with NASSCOM, and it goes straight onto your LinkedIn profile, CV, and professional portfolio.
We built this certification to stand apart in three ways:

  • Industry Recognition: HDFC, ICICI, Deloitte, KPMG, and EY all recognize it. That’s not a claim — it’s based on where our graduates have actually landed roles.
  • Authenticity and Verification: Every certificate carries a unique ID that employers can check in under a minute. No guesswork, no “is this even real?”
  • Career Impact: For CAs and CFAs, this adds a current, AI-focused credential next to the one you already worked hard for. It won’t replace your professional qualification. It’ll make it relevant for 2026 hiring.

AI-Assisted 3-Statement Financial Model
  • What you build: A full financial model comprising of an income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement created on the basis of a company brief using Excel AI (Microsoft Copilot) and Chat GPT’s data analysis tool. Scenario analysis has been automated in three scenarios: base, bullish, and bearish. All assumptions have been made and tested accordingly.
  • Tools used: Excel AI (Microsoft Copilot), ChatGPT (data analysis mode), Python (pandas — pre-built notebook, no coding required)
  • What it proves in an interview: That you can build a finance-grade model faster and with fewer errors using AI — and that you understand where AI needs human supervision inside a financial model. Most finance candidates can build a model. Far fewer can show one built with AI and explain every cell.
Automated FP&A Dashboard
  • What you build: FP&A dashboard in Power BI was created based on data from a multi-divisional business. This dashboard monitors 6 parameters including the difference between actual revenue against budget, performance of the cost center, spending on employees, 12 months’ forward-looking forecast, EBITDA trend, and the cash runway. All variance analysis is done through ChatGPT.
  • Tools used: Power BI, Excel AI, ChatGPT, DataRobot
  • What it proves in an interview: That you’ve eliminated the manual steps from a standard FP&A cycle — and that you can present AI-generated variance commentary to a CFO-level audience with confidence. This project alone is what most FP&A manager roles are now screening for in 2026.
Credit Risk and Fraud Detection Model
  • What you build: A credit scoring model for a lending portfolio dataset that is created using an already configured python notebook without writing code from scratch but validated using AI excel. You will also create a fraud detection system by anomaly detection, set the threshold for parameters and false positives. The final deliverable is a risk summary report generated through ChatGPT.
  • Tools used: Python (scikit-learn — pre-built notebook), Excel AI, ChatGPT, DataRobot
  • What it proves in an interview: That you understand how credit risk models work from the inside — not just what they produce. For roles in banking, NBFC, and fintech, this is the project that separates candidates who’ve read about AI risk management from those who’ve built it.
  • What you build: The analysis of the investment in a listed company will be comprehensive, including its valuation (DCF & comparable company analysis), portfolio suitability, and even its ESG score, all based on publicly available information. The earnings call transcripts will be summarized using ChatGPT. Historical prices and returns will be analyzed using Python’s yfinance package through a pre-existing notebook.
  • Tools used: ChatGPT (data analysis), Python (yfinance, pandas — pre-built notebook), Excel AI, Bloomberg data feed (read-only access)
  • What it proves in an interview: That you can produce a research-quality investment report in a fraction of the time a traditional analyst takes — and that you know how to verify and audit AI-generated financial commentary before it goes to a portfolio manager or investment committee.

Amisha
Risk Analytics Manager
I'll be honest, I joined this course thinking it would be another generic 'AI basics' program, but it completely changed my perspective. The way fraud detection and credit risk modeling were broken down using real datasets made everything click. The Python-for-finance sessions were equally solid — patient, clear, and always ready to answer even the silliest doubts. Worth every rupee.
Pooja
Quantitative Analyst
As someone from a non-technical background, I was scared AI would be too complex for me. Shalki mam made sure nobody was left behind — she'd literally stop and re-explain concepts until the whole batch was comfortable. The live case studies on stock prediction models were the highlight for me. Genuinely one of the best decisions I made this year.
Monika
Senior Financial Data Analyst
What I loved most was the balance between theory and practical work. The course doesn't just teach concepts, it shows you how hedge funds and banks are actually using these models right now. The assignments were tough but that's exactly what pushed me to actually learn instead of just watching videos passively.
Chetan
Portfolio Analyst
Honestly signed up on a whim, stayed because of the teaching quality. Shalki mam's explanations of neural networks applied to portfolio optimization were the clearest I've come across anywhere, including YouTube. So much real-world industry context was woven in that the course never felt purely academic.
Kirti
Credit Risk Manager (AI-driven models)
I've taken a couple of online finance courses before, but this one stands out because of how it's taught. Even intimidating topics like algorithmic trading felt approachable by the end of week 2. Shalki mam's doubt-clearing sessions every weekend were a lifesaver during exam prep.
Prerna
FP&A Specialist
This course gave me the confidence to actually apply AI concepts in my current job at a fintech startup. The guidance on model evaluation and the hands-on coding sessions gave me both the 'why' and the 'how.' I highly recommend it if you want more than just certificates.
Sahil Gaba
Fraud Analytics Lead
The mentorship here felt personal, not like a mass-produced online course. Feedback on individual projects was genuinely thoughtful and targeted. The sessions on risk analytics using ML models were dense but incredibly rewarding once it all came together. Five stars, no hesitation.
Latasha
Data Scientist – Financial Services
I came in with almost zero coding background and left being able to build a basic credit scoring model on my own — that says everything about how well this course is structured. Great mix of industry insight and technical execution throughout.

FAQs: AI For Finance Course

Q1: Do I need coding skills for the AI for Finance Course?

No coding required! This is a course designed specifically for finance people, not coders! Python is covered in 2 modules, but only conceptually; we use ready-made Python code notebooks in which you tweak input parameters instead of writing code from scratch. All other tools—ChatGPT, Power BI, Excel AI, DataRobot—work in any regular browser window or Excel itself. The course has been completed successfully by CAs, MBAs, and finance managers who had no previous knowledge of coding whatsoever.

Q2: Who is this course designed for?

This course is aimed at 5 categories of people: working finance professionals (analysts, FP&A managers, and CFOs), Chartered Accountants, MBA graduates specializing in finance, investment analysts, and people changing careers and entering finance/fintech roles. This course will be most beneficial to you if you know basic accounting concepts and have a working knowledge of Excel. Prior knowledge of AI is not required – Module 1 assumes no prior knowledge whatsoever. If you are a Chartered Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst, then you will find this course highly relevant to your work needs.

Q3: What AI tools will I learn in this course?

This course teaches 9 tools divided into modules, which are: ChatGPT (for data analysis and financial commentary), Python with pandas and NumPy (no prior coding experience needed), Power BI, Excel AI (AI Copilot in Excel by Microsoft), Tableau, DataRobot, Bloomberg data feed, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, and DataRails. All the above tools are introduced based on their application in real-life finance tasks – hence, you learn how to apply each one and what kind of results to expect.

The graduates can apply for positions like AI Financial Analyst, FP&A Manager (Specializing in AI), Risk Analytics Specialist, Quantitative Investment Analyst, Automation Consultant (Finance), and Compliance Analytics Manager. As reported by Glassdoor India and LinkedIn Salary Insights Q1 2026, AI specialists in finance earn salaries between ₹12-28 LPA in India as against ₹6-14 LPA earned by traditional finance employees at mid-career stages. The placement assistance at Gyansetu includes mock interviews and resume creation.

There are 6 uses of AI in the finance domain. These include automation of 3-statement financial models, scenario and sensitivity analysis, anomaly detection in transactional data for fraud detection, creation of a first draft of financial commentary based on raw data inputs, automation of FP&A variance reports, and credit risk scoring through machine learning models. ChatGPT’s data analysis function, Excel AI, and DataRobot can be used for task completion. The job of the finance practitioner now changes to assessing and interpreting the results of the AI tool.

The jobs that are being taken over by the AI are those associated with performing routine functions inside the finance job function. Such activities include routine data entry, reconciliation, report generation using templates, and variance analysis. The need for finance professionals capable of guiding the AI system, understanding its outputs, and making strategy-oriented decisions that the AI models cannot make is increasing. As indicated by a report by NASSCOM for the year 2025, 38% of the total hires made in India in relation to AI are business-oriented finance and analytics professionals.

A data science class is one where you learn how to construct AI models. An AI in Finance class is where you learn how to apply AI tools to finance-related issues without having to create the AI models from scratch. While data science involves coding skills in either Python or R, statistical knowledge, and modeling, AI for Finance involves domain expertise in finance and the application of off-the-shelf AI tools to finance processes. The two are complementary but for those who work in CA, MBA, or finance, AI for Finance is more practical.

Certainly, the curriculum is designed around the issues faced by CAs and CFAs every day. These modules deal specifically with financial modelling and automation of FP&A, with regulatory reporting, audit, and compliance with IFRS/IndAS through AI. The module on compliance automation, in particular, proves extremely relevant for CAs as per experience at Gyansetu. Some students at Gyansetu have completed this program while working as CAs and applied the FP&A automation process shortly after completion.

The duration of the program is spread out into 8 modules that include both live and pre-recorded lectures along with self-paced project work. Weekends and weekday batches are offered for the benefit of working financial analysts. The recording of all lectures is provided and can be accessed throughout one’s lifetime without having to worry about being busy during a monthly end-of-period closing process.

You receive an internationally recognized and NASSCOM registered Gyansetu certificate acknowledged by MNCs from India, world-class banks, and top consulting firms globally. You get the certificate via your unique identification code on Gyansetu’s online portal at gyansetu.in — your employer will be able to verify the certificate in less than a minute. The certificate is given to you after the completion of the Module 8 project only, and not upon the completion of the quiz. It serves to support your CA/CFA certification.
